there's no fancy origin story behind TTremover.

we were just regular people saving TikTok videos the same way everyone else does. screen recording, cropping, hoping the watermark wasn't too obvious. it always was. quality was bad, watermark was there, and every downloader tool we tried made things worse somehow.

one had so many ads we couldn't even find the download button. another one still left the watermark on anyway — so what was the point. one asked for an email address just to download a single video. we gave a fake one obviously.

got tired of it pretty fast.

so instead of complaining we just built something. nothing complicated, no big team behind it, no investors involved. just wanted a tool that did exactly what it said without making people jump through hoops first.

first version was rough honestly. but it worked. that was enough to start.

kept improving things slowly. made it faster. made sure it worked properly on mobile because most people are on their phones anyway. cleaned up the interface so nothing was confusing.

still the same idea though. paste link, get video, done.

we're not trying to build the biggest platform or charge people eventually or add features nobody asked for. TTremover does one thing and we'd rather do that one thing properly than do ten things badly.

people send us the link when their friends ask how to save TikTok videos. that's kind of all we wanted really.
