That dreaded Hemi tick has started on my Ram – how worried should I be?

So I've had my 2017 Ram 1500 for about three years now and I always told myself that if I ever heard that infamous ticking sound, I'd deal with it immediately, but now that it's actually happening I'm kind of in denial and hoping it's just a noisy injector or something harmless. The tick is most noticeable when the engine is cold and it seems to quiet down a bit once everything warms up, but it's definitely there and it's got me losing sleep thinking about manifold bolts or worse, lifter failure. I've been doing some research and it seems like there's a whole spectrum of possibilities, from a simple exhaust leak that's not a big deal all the way to camshaft damage that's basically a wallet-destroying nightmare. I really need to get it looked at by someone who knows these engines inside out, not just a general mechanic who's going to shrug and tell me to "just keep driving it" while the problem gets worse. I've been looking for an affordable Dodge workshop near ICAD because I work in that area and it would be convenient to drop it off and pick it up without going too far out of my way. Has anyone here actually dealt with the Hemi tick and can tell me what I'm likely facing? Did you catch it early and get away with a cheap fix, or am I looking at a major repair bill that's going to ruin my month? Really appreciate any honest advice from people who've been through this.
