Aston Martin battery warning light came on – should I panic?
Just got into my DB11 this morning and was greeted by that sinking feeling of a battery warning light on the dash, along with a message about the start-stop system being unavailable. The car still started fine and drove normally, but I'm not sure if I should just ignore it and hope it goes away or treat it as an urgent issue that needs addressing immediately. I've read that these cars can be really sensitive to voltage drops and the auxiliary battery tends to fail before the main one, causing all sorts of weird electronic gremlins . I work in Business Bay so ideally I'd like to find somewhere nearby that can properly diagnose which battery is actually failing, because I've heard horror stories about people replacing the main battery when it was actually the auxiliary one all along. I know there are places that offer Premium Aston Martin battery service in Business Bay but I'm not sure if I should just bite the bullet and go to a specialist immediately, or if there's a way to test it myself first before spending money on a replacement that might not even be necessary. Has anyone else dealt with this and can tell me whether the warning light is usually a sign of a dying battery or just a sensor glitch?
