CrowdStrike Project QuiltWorks Targets AI Security Gaps

In a strategic move to address rising AI-driven threats, CrowdStrike has introduced Project QuiltWorks, a collaborative initiative designed to close the growing gap in AI cybersecurity risks across enterprise environments.

Project QuiltWorks brings together a broad ecosystem of industry leaders, including Accenture, EY, IBM Cybersecurity Services, Kroll, and OpenAI. The goal is to help organizations detect, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities that are increasingly being uncovered by advanced AI models.

Modern AI systems are transforming how vulnerabilities are discovered. Frontier AI models can now identify logic flaws, misconfigurations, and previously undetectable exploit paths—often faster than traditional tools or human teams can respond.

This shift has dramatically reduced the time between vulnerability discovery and potential exploitation, leaving organizations with little room to react. As a result, enterprises are under increasing pressure to reassess their security posture and answer a critical question: are they truly protected?

Project QuiltWorks is not a standalone product but an industry-wide coalition that combines AI-powered detection with human expertise. It integrates intelligence from the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, which processes massive volumes of security data to identify real-world attack paths and prioritize risks based on exploitability. Through a network of more than 10,000 cybersecurity professionals, the initiative extends beyond detection to enable rapid, code-level remediation across enterprise systems.

The initiative delivers a comprehensive approach to AI risk management, including:

Assessment: Evaluating an organization’s current security readiness and exposure

AI-Powered Scanning: Using advanced models to uncover hidden vulnerabilities in applications and code

Risk Prioritization: Ranking threats based on real-world attacker behavior and business impact

Guided Remediation: Providing actionable steps to fix vulnerabilities efficiently

These capabilities aim to replace outdated, periodic security checks with continuous and intelligent risk management. Alongside the coalition, CrowdStrike has also launched its Frontier AI Readiness and Resilience Service. This offering provides ongoing expert-led engagements to help organizations stay ahead of emerging AI threats through continuous monitoring and response strategies.

The rapid advancement of AI has created a double-edged sword: while it enhances innovation, it also exposes new vulnerabilities at unprecedented speed. Traditional security frameworks, built for slower threat cycles, are no longer sufficient.

Project QuiltWorks represents a coordinated industry response to this challenge, combining cutting-edge AI capabilities with deep cybersecurity expertise. By doing so, it aims to help enterprises close the widening gap between vulnerability discovery and remediation in an AI-driven world.
