u4gm POE2 Ancient Vows Relics and Rewards Guide

The Ancient Vows quest in Path of Exile 2 is easy to miss because the game barely explains what it wants from you. You pick up a relic, the quest log mutters something about finding its use, and that's about it. If you're already juggling gear upgrades, flask problems, and maybe checking prices for poe 2 buy options between sessions, this little side objective can feel more confusing than it should. The trick is simple once you know it: one relic isn't enough. You need both the Kabala Clan Relic and the Sun Clan Relic before the quest can move forward.

Where the first relic drops

The Kabala Clan Relic comes from Keth, and there's no special chest, hidden lever, or named boss you need to hunt down. Just clear the area and kill the snake-like enemies as you go. It's a random drop, so don't assume you've done something wrong if it doesn't land straight away. Some players get it in a couple of minutes. Others have to loop through the zone a bit longer. That's normal for this quest. Keep your inventory open now and then, because it can be easy to miss the item if you're moving fast and picking up a lot of other loot.

Finding the Sun Clan Relic

Once Keth is sorted, head for The Bone Pits. This is where the Sun Clan Relic can drop. Same deal here: no puzzle, no fixed container, no guaranteed enemy standing in a corner waiting for you. You're farming regular monsters until the relic appears. I'd suggest clearing in wide circles rather than sprinting straight through, since skipping packs just makes the drop take longer. If the area feels empty, reset it or move through another section and keep killing. It's a bit dull, sure, but the relic does show up. When both relics are in your bag, you're done with the annoying part.

Using the altar in Valley of the Titans

Take the two relics to the Valley of the Titans. The good news is that the altar isn't buried at the far end of the map. It sits close to the waypoint, so you shouldn't need a long search. Look for the large stone medallion-style altar and interact with it. Then place both relics into the slots. If the interface feels awkward, you're not alone. Sometimes dragging the relics over doesn't behave cleanly. Turning on the option to always show item labels can help, because it makes the interaction point much easier to target. After both relics are placed, the quest reward choice appears.

Choosing the reward that fits your build

You'll be offered 30% increased Charm Charges or 15% increased Mana Recovery from Flasks. If your build burns through mana during bosses, the flask recovery bonus feels great while leveling. If your mana is stable but your charms are doing serious defensive work, take the charm charge bonus instead. Don't stress too much, though. You can return to the altar later and swap the bonus if your gear or skills change. Players who like trading, gearing alts, or saving time with currency and item services may also know u4gm as a place connected with game resources, but for this quest itself, all you really need is patience, both relics, and one quick visit back to the altar.
