Where to Talk to Perdu in OSRS gold

For any Old School RuneScape (OSRS) player, losing hard-earned untradeable items can feel devastating. Whether it's a Saradomin cape, a Book of the Dead, or ghostly robes, these items often take hours of grinding or questing to obtain-and losing them to death or a misclick can derail your progress. Fortunately, there's a solution: Perdu, the traveling dwarven merchant who specializes in recovering lost items (for a price).

Perdu's name is no accident-it derives from the French word for "lost," a subtle nod to his role in helping players retrieve what they've misplaced. Beyond item recovery, he also repairs certain breakable untradeable items, locks items to prevent loss, and even offers extra experience for long-time players who completed quests before specific updates. To make the most of his services, you first need to know where to find him. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of all Perdu's locations in OSRS gold, along with tips to reach him quickly.

Who Is Perdu, and What Does He Do?

Before diving into his locations, it's important to understand Perdu's purpose. He is a wandering dwarven NPC who runs the "Lost Property Shop," where he returns select lost items to players for a fee-usually higher than their standard cost elsewhere. This fee is a small price to pay for recovering untradeable items that would otherwise be gone forever.

Not all items are eligible for recovery, though. Perdu will not return items that must be re-obtained through combat, minigames, or boss fights-with the exception of the colossal blade. He also cannot recover temporary seasonal event items, quest-unique items, or pets. However, he can repair breakable untradeable items (like the rune pouch) and lock items using a Trouver Parchment to prevent them from breaking upon death.

A lesser-known perk: If you completed master or grandmaster quests before the November 30, 2022 update, you can claim extra experience from Perdu-excluding rewards from quests like Legends' Quest and Sins of the Father, which are claimed from other NPCs. He also helps players reclaim Echo Boots if they were forcibly destroyed due to not meeting the Defence requirement in a 2024 update.

All Perdu Locations in OSRS

Perdu can be found in seven key locations across Gielinor, each easily accessible with the right teleports or skills. Some locations are more convenient than others, depending on your current activities or proximity to a bank.

1. Lumbridge: South Tower of the Castle Wall

Lumbridge is one of the first areas new players explore, making this Perdu location ideal for beginners or those near the starting zone. You'll find him near the southern tower of Lumbridge Castle, close to the main gatehouse.

Reaching him here is straightforward: Use the Lumbridge Home Teleport spell (unlocked at level 1 Magic) or a Lumbridge Teleport tablet. Once you arrive, head south from the castle courtyard to the gate-Perdu will be standing nearby, ready to assist. This location is perfect if you're training combat in Lumbridge Swamp or completing early-game quests.

2. Catherby: House North of the Bank

Catherby is a popular spot for fishing, cooking, and slayer, and Perdu's location here is conveniently close to the bank. He can be found inside the small house just north of the Catherby Bank.

To reach Catherby quickly, use a Camelot Teleport (unlocked at level 45 Magic) and run south. Alternatively, use a Fairy Ring with the code DLR and walk east. This location is great for players who spend time gathering resources or training skills in the Kandarin region.

3. Grand Exchange: North Side

The Grand Exchange (GE) is the busiest hub in OSRS, and Perdu's location here is hard to miss. He stands on the north side of the GE, near the entrance to the GE building.

Most players already have easy access to the GE via the GE Teleport spell, a Ring of Wealth, or a Home Teleport to Lumbridge followed by a short run. This location is ideal for players who are buying/selling items at the GE and need to recover lost gear quickly.

4. Edgeville: Second Floor of the General Store

Edgeville is a key spot for PvP players, slayers, and those using the Edgeville Dungeon. Perdu is located on the second floor (U.S. terminology) of the Edgeville General Store-and on PvP and BH worlds, he's inside the Edgeville Bank.

To reach Edgeville, use an Edgeville Teleport (unlocked at level 1 Magic with the Ancient Spellbook) or a Home Teleport to Edgeville (if set as your home). This location is perfect for PvP players who need to recover lost items after a fight or slayers finishing a task in the Edgeville Dungeon.

5. Falador: Second Floor of the General Store

Falador is a central city with a bank, forge, and access to many quests, making Perdu's location here very convenient. He is on the second floor of the Falador General Store, which is near the center of the city.

Reach Falador using a Falador Teleport (unlocked at level 37 Magic) or a Home Teleport to cheap RS gold  Falador. This location is great for players training Smithing, completing quests like "Black Knights' Fortress," or exploring the Falador Park.

6. Ferox Enclave: By the Bank Chest

Ferox Enclave is a safe zone in the Wilderness, popular among PvP players and those looking to recharge their stats. Perdu is located right by the bank chest in Ferox Enclave, making it easy to access after a Wilderness trip.

To reach Ferox Enclave, use a Ferox Enclave Teleport (unlocked after completing the "Fight Arena" quest) or walk north from Edgeville into the Wilderness. This location is a lifesaver for PvP players who need to recover lost items without leaving the safe zone.
