The Pit Bubble Returns

What It Means for Players

The pit bubble is back. This feature was not even in the official patch notes, but it has returned. When you complete pits, enemies will no longer bother you while you upgrade your glyphs. You can now click and upgrade in peace.

This feature was taken for granted when it was removed, but its return is a welcome quality-of-life improvement. No more being interrupted by enemies while trying to level your glyphs.

How to Use It

Simply complete a pit run. When you finish, the bubble will appear. Stand inside it, interact with the glyph upgrade interface, and you will not be attacked during the process. It is that simple.

Mythic Crafting Changes

The "Craft Mythic" Change

One of the most important changes in this patch is the crafting interface update. The button now says "Craft Mythic" instead of "Upgrade." This is a significant difference.

Previously, players were bringing their regular uniques to the cube, seeing "Upgrade," and clicking it. They expected their unique to become a mythic version of the same item. Instead, they received a random mythic unique in that item slot. Many players lost high-quality gear this way.

Now, the label clearly states what is happening. You are crafting a random mythic. This change should prevent players from accidentally sacrificing good gear.

Recycling Mythic Uniques

Mythic unique items can now be recycled. If you have three of the same mythic seal (like Epiphany or Diamond Mine), you can put them in the cube and reroll them for a different one.

These seals sell for almost 150 million gold if you are short on currency. But if you are looking for a specific version with better stats, the reroll option is a great choice.

The Endgame Farming Loop

Step 1: Helltides for Superior Keys

The best place to farm superior lair keys is in helltides. Focus on ruptures to gain Glints of Hope reputation. Each Glint of Hope cache contains three superior lair keys.

In a group, you can sometimes get upwards of 35 caches in a single hour. Multiply that by three, and you are looking at over 100 superior lair keys per hour.

Tips for Helltide Efficiency:
Stack ruptures on top of each other for more reputation
Keep ruptures open as long as possible
Focus only on gathering reputation
Groups make this significantly faster

Step 2: Kill the Reaper

Take your superior lair keys and kill the Reaper. This boss offers the highest chance for mythic drops of any content in the game. You will also get Pandemonium Fragments, which are used for crafting.

Step 3: Upgrade Uniques to Mythics

Bring any unique items you have to the cube. Use your Pandemonium Fragments to upgrade them to mythic quality. This gives you a random mythic in that item slot.

This is a great way to constantly generate mythics and increase your character's power. Even if the mythic is not perfect, you can still salvage it or use it for other purposes.

Step 4: Transfigure or Salvage

When you get a mythic, you have two options:

If it is your first good roll:
Temper it
Add sockets
Put an aspect on it
Then transfigure it

If you already have a good one:
Just transfigure it directly
If it becomes unmodifiable, salvage it
Keep going until you get a better roll

War Plan Setup for Helltides

Rhythm Rot

The most important node is Rhythm Rot. This gives you maggots that spawn during helltides. These have a chance to drop lair keys. If you run out of superior keys, you can use these to get more uniques to upgrade to mythics. It also increases the monster level for better drops.

Meat Brothers

This node makes the Butcher spawn and gives you Profane Mine Cages. You always want to have three Profane Mine Cages running at all times. They stack up to three times and increase monster power by five. This means more experience, more materials, and more loot. Try to keep these active whenever you are farming.

Layer of Plenty

For the boss tree, Layer of Plenty gives you an additional chest when killing bosses. This speeds up your farming. If you are running low on superior keys and cannot farm helltides, this node helps you get more value from each kill.

Golden Horde

If you are short on gold, take Golden Horde. This node converts all non-legendary drops into gold. Bosses can drop regular gear, yellow, blue, and legendary. With Golden Horde, all of that becomes gold instead. This has saved many players from being completely broke this season.

Leaderboard Resets and Rogue Fixes

Rogue Infinite Damage Bug

The patch fixes the rogue infinite damage bug. The leaderboards have been reset to remove the 3-minute pit 150 clears. The rogue will still be strong, but now you actually need to play the game and get good gear to compete.

When the Reset Happens

The leaderboards are unavailable until the 30th. After that, the reset will happen. This is also a good time to do your tower run for the Artificer Stash rewards.

Artificer Stash Tips

Even if the tower is not your thing, there is a one-time reward worth getting. Complete a pit run at around level 110 to 115 to unlock the Artificer Stash. This gives you multiple three- and four-greater affix pieces of gear.

Doing a high tower run once will unlock all the rewards in order. This resets every season, so do this after each leaderboard reset. The gear may not have the stats you are looking for, but it is a great chance to get high greater affix pieces for cheap Diablo 4 Gold your build.
