How to resolve QuickBooks Error 6000, 82 or 6000,106?

To fix this issue, do the following:

Solution 1: Remove unnecessary space from the file name of the company file

• Go to company file folder, then right-click the file, then choose Rename.

• Then, remove spaces from the file name. Then, open it in QuickBooks.

• If it opens without Error code 6000, 82 or 6000, 106 in QuickBooks, then try turning off hosting (explained in the next solution).

Solution 2: Turning off the hosting

For a Single-User Access:

• Go to File, then to Utilities.

• Now, pick Stop Hosting Multi-User Access and click Yes.
